A micro scale anaerobic digester to treat food waste is shown. A sink is situated on top. Underneath the sink is a cabinet. To the rear of the cabinet is a cylindrical tank with an oval top. Food waste is placed in the sink and macerated with water. Macerated food waste flows to a balance tank inside the cabinet. Controls feed the macerated food waste into the digester to the rear. Food waste is converted into biogas and liquid bio-fertilizer through the process of anaerobic digestion. Biogas is used for cooking and heating and the liquid bio-fertilizer is used for growing food. Units are automated.
